Yahoo Web Cam in Ubuntu

It's been three weeks now since I installed Ubuntu on my system. Everything seems to be working fine except when I tried upgrading it to 7.10 which I will discuss in detail in my next blog.

Anyway I downgraded it back to 7.04 and decided to just wait for the next LTS release schedule for April next year before upgrading again. Right now what I want to do is to install an IM software that will allow me to use my web camera when chatting. Sure GAIM and PIDGIN are both great especially if you have a lot of IM accounts like Yahoo, MSN, Google Talk, etc but they don't support web cam.

I stumbled upon this site that says this software called GYACHI supports web cam. Downloaded it and will try to install it when I get the chance to. Will let you guys know what happens after. :)

Kopete works well in Ubuntu 7.10 / Linux Mint 4.0

Check it out with webcam support. I uninstalled GAIM because I like this one better.
